Anthony Cammarota

Hello! My name is Anthony and I am a musician from Southern California. Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Central Missouri studying Music Technology and will complete my MA in the winter of 2024. Additionally, I am a graduate assistant for the university and I work as an audio-video specialist.

As for my background, I have been committed to a career in music since childhood. During high school I began my formal music training at the Orange County High School of the Arts (Santa Ana, CA) where I graduated top of my class in guitar performance. After high school I became a student at Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, WA) where I majored in music performance and composition and received my BMus in Jazz Performance in 2014. After completed my undergraduate degree, I relocated to Los Angeles where I continued to play music professionally as a freelancer, touring musician, recording session artist and private educator.

In 2017, I received an offer to serve as a department chair at the True School of Music in Mumbai, India. During the three years in my position, my professional focus was rooted in global consciousness and international cultural exchange through the universal language of music. Since then I have been continuing my own education with the goal of completing a doctoral candidacy.

The scholarships provided through Bold.org will help support my educational pursuits, research studies, and artistic projects.
