student supervisor at Despite typically only being offered after a year of dining services I was promoted to student supervisor after 3 months of working at the Dining Center. I still had all the tasks as I did as an associate, but as a supervisor I am in charge of giving breaks, teaching and helping all student associates, running the till when I am placed there, being in charge of certain stations, such as Grill, Pizza, and Dish room, and staying late to close the dining center. On average I work 30 hours a week and challenge myself to be the best employee I can be. I am planning on becoming a student manager next semester if I am offered the job.

About

Hello,
I'm Anothony Roesch, and I'm a freshman at North Dakota State University studying finance. My main values growing up have been my family, faith, and working hard. I always prioritized school growing up. I tried to learn the most I could in all my classes, get the best grades, overachieve on all of my assignments, and ultimately leave a good impact on all those around me.
Although I prioritized school, I spent a lot of time helping my family run our family farm. We grew corn, soybeans and ran a 180-sow farrow to finish hog farm. We all had to work together to successfully run the farm. I helped grind feed, fix problems in the barns, check every single pig each day for health problems, feed, sort, weigh, vaccinate, castrate, breed, and water pigs. I also helped fix equipment, level grain bins, transfer grain, cultivate fields, shred corn stocks, harvest, truck grain, mow the farm grass, give rides, and help with the many other tasks.
Despite spending a lot of time focusing on school and working on the farm, I was very involved in my community and school. I was in 4-H for 12 years, Boy Scouts for 6 years, FFA for 5 years, FCCLA for 3 years, Cub Scouts for 5 years, Knowledge bowl for 6 years, Band, Honor Band, and Jazz Band for 6 years, Choir and Honor Choir for 1 year, Speech for 2 years, One-Act-Play for 3 years, Golf for 6 years, Intramural Basketball for 6 years, National Honor Society for 2 years, Student Council for 5 years, Church Bell Choir for 3 years, Church Youth Group for 4 years, I read in church often, I played trumpet in church a few times a year, and I did a lot of community service.
Not only was I involved in many things, but I applied myself to all everything I was involved in. I was the president of my 4-H club for 2 years, Vice-President of my FFA chapter my senior year and Sentinel my junior year, I was class Vice-President for 5 years in a row, my team won the state buzz team competition for FFCCLA the two years I did it, my team got 1st place at the regional FFA crops competition 2 years in a row and I got 1st place individually both years, I got 17th place overall at the last State crops competition competing against over 100 of the most knowledgeable crops competitors around Minnesota, I was team captain of my murals team, I graduated high school near the top of my class with a 3.82 GPA, the summa cum laude honor, and 32 college credits I completed online during high school.
I did a lot of volunteering a community service growing up, but the community service I am most proud of is my Eagle Scout project. I spent hundreds of hours working on a 7-foot tall 2.5-foot-wide black granite monument I designed, fundraised for, and placed in the East Side Park in Ada Mn. The monument tells the story Ada's former hospital, medical clinic, and nursing home, which used to sit in that same park. I also included pictures of the facilities, as well as pictures and stories of some of the prominent doctors who worked in Ada most of their career. The monument sits on a concrete slab I dug, prepped, and poured. I placed a paved path leading to the monument and planted two bushes next to the path. I also restored two lights that used to sit in front of the hospital and placed them by the monument. I was able to do this with a lot of help and donations from my family, friends, and community.
I am now studying finance in order to become a qualified financial advisor and help individuals and businesses with their financial goals. I am very proud to be in the Honor Society and will be very grateful for any scholarships I receive.

  • I helped one of my friends with his Eagle Scout Project this past summer. He built 13 composite wood containers to place around the garbage cans and water spigots in the Ada Cemetery. We dug out a 1-foot-deep hole about 3 feet wide and 3 feet long, packed sand down in the holes, placed pavers on the sand, and installed the composite wood containers on the pavers so that the garbage cans would stop knocking over, causing garbage to fly all around town.

    Aug 2021 – Oct 2021

  • I also volunteered to help another Boy Scout with his Eagle Scout project. I helped him build 2 new wooden benches for the Rod & Gun Club in Ada, MN. I also helped him install a new sign there.

I also bought, sanded, and painted a new bench seat and installed it on a broken bench in the same park.
