About
I am a nursing student at Eagle Gate College working toward my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have worked in healthcare for more than 11 years as a CNA, and I also work as a phlebotomist and adjunct phlebotomy instructor at Davis Technical College, where I help teach and prepare future healthcare professionals.
Balancing nursing school, working in healthcare, teaching, and raising my children has taught me a lot about determination, leadership, and pushing forward even when life gets difficult. I take pride in my education and have worked hard to maintain a strong GPA while building hands-on experience in different areas of healthcare.
My long-term goal is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). I am especially interested in critical care and hope to continue growing as both a nurse and an educator. I want to be the kind of nurse who makes patients feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for, while also encouraging and teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My career goal is to continue advancing in nursing until I become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). I plan to become an LPN by January 2027 and complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing by August 2027. After becoming an RN, I hope to gain the critical care experience and qualifications needed to apply to an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
Becoming a CRNA is my main long-term goal because I am interested in critical care, advanced nursing practice, and caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. I also enjoy teaching and currently work as a phlebotomy instructor at Davis Technical College, so I would love to continue teaching in some capacity as I advance in my nursing career.
I know becoming a CRNA will take several more years of education, experience, and dedication, but I am determined to keep moving forward and building on each step of my career.
- Outside the classroom
Outside of the classroom, I am a mom first. My children are a huge part of who I am and one of the biggest reasons I continue pushing myself toward my goals. I spend much of my time outside of school balancing family, work, and everything that comes with everyday life.
I also really enjoy teaching and helping other people grow. Working as a phlebotomy instructor has given me the opportunity to encourage students who may be nervous or unsure of themselves and help them build confidence in their skills.
I would describe myself as hardworking, determined, and very family-oriented. I enjoy spending time with the people I care about, finding little moments to have fun, and reminding myself that life is more than just school and work. Even when my schedule is busy, I try to make time for the things and people that keep me grounded.
