About

Work Hard Play Hard! If you stay ready you don't have to get ready!

I am the youngest of four children and a first-generation college graduate, with a strong academic foundation in business and organizational leadership. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance, Human Resources, and Project Management From Lakeland University. With more than 20 years of professional experience spanning customer service, finance, audit, compliance, and human resources, I bring a disciplined, systems-oriented, and people-centered approach to occupational safety and health.

I am a Laboratory Technician at UW-Madison with the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene. I have worked for the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 11 years. I support research/compliance operations through equipment oversight, training, documentation, and regulatory adherence, with a particular focus on translating complex standards into clear, practical procedures that support safe and inclusive workplaces. My academic and professional path is deeply shaped by lived experience, including the loss of my husband in a workplace accident, which strengthened her commitment to prevention, accountability, and education in safety practice.

I am interested in change implementation, training development, and continuous improvement. I regularly contribute to the simplification and modernization of standard operating procedures. As a professional with a disability, I am committed to having meaningful perspective on accessibility, equity, and human factors in safety systems.

I live in Johnson Creek with my dog, Ian, and value time spent with my partner Brian, family, and friends. Outside of work and academics, I enjoy travel, exploring state parks and walking trails, attending sporting events, visiting wineries and distilleries, and discovering new restaurants. Through my work and studies at UW–Stout, my goal is to advance thoughtful, evidence-based safety practices that protect workers, communities, and the environments in which they operate.
