Hello ! My name is Ariel Powell, I am a 18 year old sophomore at The Illustrious Texas Southern University. I am in pursuit of a Bachelor's in science whilst majoring in Administration of Justice with hopes to after college become a public defender , then to move up to owning my very own law firm. During my duration of being at TSU I have had the privilege of meeting new people and making life long connections and friends, I also had the pleasure of making the Deans List my very first year. With me setting the bar so high freshman year I have made the promise to myself to out do and outshine each year as they come. I am a firm believer in keeping your word so therefore I mean it when I say I will be greater each year as they pass.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended career path would be to a=after graduation in 2025 to become a public defender because although they don't get paid much, its not about the money its about getting out and helping out African American men and women who have been wrongfully convicted and left to perish with no way out. I will be the bright light for them and show them if no one has ever cared I care, whether it be I've known you for a long time or not. After becoming a public defender I would then like to move on the be THE TOP defense attorney there is , own my own firm and then when it comes to an end wrap my whole career up with being a federal judge. I know I have my work cut out for me but I will uphold my goals and will stand firm in my truth and life I have set for myself a many of years ago.
