Arlena Vargas

There it was small, private forest like school that was full of cute animals wondering around campus. My heart was beating out of control when I step into that building looking for my class. I had a lot of mixed emotions that were new and unfamiliar to me. These unfamiliar feelings were the start of a new chapter of my college life.
My first week was on emotional roller coaster. It was stressful and I felt that everything was going fast, day and night was studying and doing homework. My freshmen year wasn't what I really expected. I felt really lonely of not having friends, I was anxious and a bit depressed throughout my semester. I stay strong and continue to push myself throughout my semester with the support from my freshmen advisors, parents, and few people from the school that supported me. In the end it was all worth it that I never give up and resulted with really good grades. I was happy with my accomplishment. My college life doesn't end there because I still have a long journey to go.
