About
My name is Asha Brand. I'm a freshman studying Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Southern Mississippi. I grew up in Philadelphia, Ms where I attended Philadelphia Public School District. Throughout my years in high school, I was involved in FBLA, BETA, FCCLA, and NSHSS along with treasure of my senior class. My first year at USM I haven't found any organizations just yet on campus to be involved in but I have found an interest in a couple that I plan on joining as I enter my sophomore year.

This scholarship was awarded to student within local surrounding areas and I was chosen as a recipient to receive the award.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to found a job in a school setting where I work with kids to help develop their speaking techniques. If I do not pursue the school setting, I intend to found a good clinic job where I will be able to help people of all ages including those with sign language.
- Outside the classroom
During my free time I like to focus on my small business, do hair, listen to music, and go to the park with my nephews.
