About
The major that I have chosen “Nusing” is something that I would love to do for the rest of my life. But this wasn’t always true. Growing up I always love singing, making clothes, and painting. In middle school I would go into school happier then ever just to go to art class and paint all the things that I have seen that have amazed me, like toy cars, tv shows, food, butterflies, and many different things. But one thing that I wanted my art to do above all else is to make people smile when they have a frown, or make people feel loved when they feel like the world has turned their back on them and they don’t have no one, or nowhere to turn to.I would also go to choir and sing loud and proud and dream that one day my voice would be heard to help others get through rough times and make them cry, tears of not sadness, but happiness and joy and love. I would also make clothes and little accessories like shirts, hats, scarves, and gloves.. Although I had all those dreams. Coming into my freshman year things started to change. I started taking health class, I’ve gotten really interested and intrigued when I started learning about the human body. So I started doing some research, and I found something that I never thought that I would be interested or willing to do which is “Nursing”, but it made sense because all I have wanted to do with clothes and singing and my art was to help people. That open up another amazing big door. A newfound passion to be a Nurse to help people, because that’s all I wanted to do for my 17 years of living was just to help people. It just aligned so well, and everything became clear to me. Helping people is what I am meant to do for the rest of my life. But before i got into nursing.I set goals to have good grades and pass all my classes with flying colors. But it wasn’t easy, for a moment I thought being popular and having friends was somewhat of better importance than paying attention in class and getting good grades and getting into my classes on time. So I started acting out because I thought it would be cool, but in reality I was only setting myself up for failure. And I knew some of the stuff I was doing was wrong, but at the time I was only thinking of how my peers would view me and what I should do to make myself look cool. Until one day one of my teachers told me that “ You only get one life so live life for you not for no one else”. After that day something clicked,I was back to my old self. I got into nursing, got my grades up and by the end of my junior year I became a straight A student.
