About

My name is Ashanna Lee, I am from the small town of Greensburg, LA. I am the daughter of Fred and Georgia Butler, who have been my guardians since I was 2 months old. I graduated from St. Helena College and Career Academy in 2021 with honors. I now attend Southeastern Louisiana University as second semester freshman as of now. My major is Psychology and I have a special interest in being a domestic violence counselor. I chose that career path due to the fact I am a survivor of domestic violence.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path consists of gaining my bachelors and my master's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. I want to be a psychologist but also want to be certified in the field of domestic violence counseling. I chose this path because I have always been interested in how the mind works, but my passion to become a domestic violence comes from being an actual survivor.

Graduate school interests

During grad school, my goal is to obtain my master's to continue my career into being a psychologist and also earn my certification in being domestic violence counseling.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy reading books, attending informational workshops related to school, going to basketball and football games and also track meets. I also enjoy watching crime shows like Forensic Files, 48 Hours and listening to podcasts such as Crime Junkie.
