About
I obtained my undergraduate degree from Coastal Carolina University. I have a bachelor of science in marine science. I ended up entering the PACE program, for those of you that don't know, it is an alterative certification route that the state of South Carolina offers. I have been teaching for 5 years and am really enjoying working with kids.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am a 7th grade science teacher with Horry County Schools in South Carolina. I have a great time with my students and really enjoy seeing their eyes light up when they understand a difficult concept.
- Graduate school interests
I am attending Clemson to obtain my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I am hoping to refine my teaching practices so that I can engage a majority of my students post COVID. Keeping students engaged has been a bit of a struggle because they have been working digitally for the last two years.
- Outside the classroom
I have a 6 year old son, so I don't have many hobbies. We enjoy doing yoga together and playing any sport you can think of. His new love is hockey, so we play hockey in our living room constantly when we get home from school and finish our homework. I coached volleyball for my school this year, and it was really the highlight of my year. I am so proud of my girls' improvement of their skills their winning season.
