Ashley Heller

I want to be a clinical psychologist and have made great strides in this direction. I graduated high school at sixteen and enrolled in Rappahannock Community College. I graduated in May 2022 with my Associate's degree in psychology. I am transferring to Liberty University for my undergraduate studies in psychology. I then plan to pursue my Master's degree in psychology/counseling. As a clinical psychologist, I want to help troubled teenagers, first responders, and military veterans. Helping others is my passion.

I enjoy learning and expanding my knowledge, which is why college has been and is an exciting part of my life. My favorite subject is psychology, because I enjoy understanding how people think; I find it fascinating. I enjoy learning about mental disorders and mental health, so I can help others overcome their problems and have a healthier mind.

Because of my love of learning, reading has always been a hobby of mine. I enjoy relaxing in my favorite spots and turning the pages of a good book. It takes me into new worlds and introduces me to characters of various personalities.

I also enjoy listening to a variety of music. Whether it be the sound or an electric guitar or a soft piano, listening to music has always been one of my favorite things to do. Not only can the sounds of music be exciting or peaceful, it also can be touching or heart-warming. I try to understand the lyrics and really immerse myself into the songs I listen to.

Music has always been fun to listen to when exercising almost every morning as well. I enjoy many cardio exercises, like running and swimming. It's a hobby I have recently participated in, and I have noticed many positive changes in my physical and mental health.
