About

From my very first internship and job after college, I have worked in the senior living field. The past ten years have been heavily focused on understanding the financial aspect of continuing care retirement communities and other senior living organizations, from actuarial projections, including population flows and present value analyses, to audits and feasibility studies. I even worked towards and obtained my CPA license in 2014. However, in my current position, I have had the pleasure to work with other types of consultants and this inspired me to take a step back and focus on the bigger picture and the client I am serving.

Goals and interests

Career goal

The Masters in Management of Aging Services program was recommended to me by coworkers who are adjunct professors in the program and who had first hand seen how transformational the classes could be for those students seeking leadership in the senior living field. Entering this program was the best decision I ever made! It has totally opened my eyes to the current environment elders are facing and the array of opportunities there are for improving our existing systems. After graduation, I intend to apply my strong financial base and newly acquired skills to become a go-to consultant nationwide for those organizations looking to be the absolute best providers they can to an ever growing portion of our population.
