Ashley Parish

My name is Ashley Parish. I am a married, mother of two boys. I am currently graduating in May of 2017 from Carl Albert State College with my Associates Degree in Biology/ Pre-professional Sciences. Fall of 2017 starts my journey at Oklahoma State University-Stillwater. My major at OSU is Pre-Veterinarian Sciences. I will be applying to the DVM- Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine program when the application dates open up for the 2018 DVM Class. I am truly excited to be an nontraditional student, and believe that the work/ life experience that comes with me is one of my strongest assets.

Over the years I have worked with many animals from privately owned, farm animals, wildlife rehabilitation, working trail horses, as well as rodeo horses. Currently I spend most of my time volunteering for Fort Smith Emergency Animal Clinic. I was a member of the Girl Scouts of America for 13 years. I also am certified advanced Padi Scuba Diver, Advance senior Green Belt in Tae Kwon Doe. I am truly honored to be a member of the Honorsociety.org along with Phi Theta Kappa Honor society.

In addition to many outdoor hobbies, I am very proud that I represent a community of local artists. I have had multiple gallery shows. I have even won many local awards for my Canvas paintings, color pencil, and multi-media works of art.
