About

Dear Scholarship Committee,

As an international student, the opportunity to study in the United States of America is a dream come true. For years, I have been working hard to perfect my skills and improve my academic performance in the hopes of gaining acceptance into a prestigious American university. However, as an international student, the cost of tuition and living expenses can be quite daunting. This is why I am applying for this scholarship because I want to take some of the burden from my grandmother.

Growing up in Jamaica, education has always been a top priority in my family. Despite limited resources, my parents have always made sure that we receive a quality education. Seeing the sacrifices, they have made for our education has instilled in me a deep commitment to learning. I believe that education is the key to unlocking one's full potential and achieving success in life.

Since arriving in the United States, I have been diligent in my studies and have taken every opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities. Not only have I excelled academically, but I have also been actively involved in clubs and organizations on campus. These experiences have helped me to develop leadership skills, time-management abilities, and have exposed me to new cultures and perspectives. I am grateful for the experiences I have had so far, and I am eager to continue my growth as a student and a global citizen.

This scholarship would be a significant contribution to my academic journey. With the financial burden reduced, I can focus solely on my studies, research, and extracurricular activities. I intend to use this opportunity to continue to explore new opportunities and growth, not just for myself, but for my community and country as well. I plan to use my education to give back to my family, my community, and contribute to the betterment of my country.

I sincerely appreciate this opportunity to apply for this scholarship and I promise to use it to its fullest potential. I will continue to work hard, remain dedicated, and strive for excellence in everything I do. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Ashley Stone.
