About

I am currently obtaining a major in Psychology with two minors in Communication and Spanish. I have a strong desire to help others enjoy their lives and find the joy and good that I, and many others see around our world. I plan on becoming a counseling psychologist after obtaining my Masters and PhD degrees as I continue throughout my college career. I have a passion for psychology and learning why people do what they do. I hope to one day create my own unique psychological study to further advance the knowledge of this new science. I also have a passion for the Spanish language and I am currently continuing the 9th year of my studies as a Spanish minor. I have traveled to Spain for a month while staying in homes where my hosts solely spoke Spanish. This tested my language skills and has greatly increased not only my pronunciation and accent, but my language ability as well. I have participated in various school programs, such as The Principia newspaper, where I designed various page layouts, in addition to being a part of the communication committee for our Christian Science Organization, a nationally recognized association.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to become a counseling psychologist, offering various services to assist in bettering other's everyday lives.

Graduate school interests

I plan on getting a Masters in Psychology with a focus to be determined, as well as a PhD to complete my studies.

Outside the classroom

I have a passion for the Spanish language, as well as art in various forms. I have always enjoyed discovering new mediums and expressing myself through an artistic format. As for Spanish, I am increasingly interested in learning Spanish culture, as well as increasing my speaking and written ability to fluently communicate with a native speaker. I have a strong attachment to Spain and their culture, and hope to continue my studies further in Spain for a longer period of time then I was allotted. I also have always loved studying Psychology, as well as anything that I can use to improve my own life. I am often found in Barnes and Nobles admiring the various Psychology books and their subjects.
