Ashlon Roberts

I’ve had many goals and aspirations throughout my seventeen years of living, however, there are three that have remained in me the longest. These being my goal of being a veterinarian, being one of the best in my respective fields, and finally being the best father in the world. With these three main goal in mind, I fueled my drive to achieve all my heart desired. My ambition has served me very well in my high-school years with me winning numerous awards regarding my 4.0 GPA, 33 ACT score, community service in suicide prevention, student council, mock trial, and numerous honor bands. I adore being involved in whatever community I find myself in, as It is impossible for me to stand still whenever there are so many exciting things for me to experience and learn. As for my future, I still keep these three main goals near and dear to my heart. I am eager to learn and master the craft of preserving the life of domesticated and possibly wild animals. I long for the relief I’ll see on the faces of the animal’s caretakers who know that their best friend is in good hands. On the contrary, I too am very aware of the tragedies that I’ll see and have to explain to these same caretakers about their animal’s health. All aspects of this trade are important to me and call me to serve. This act of serving, no matter the highs or lows, is also exactly why I feel so called to be a father someday. In the same way I want to serve the community with the skills I learn and hone in this field someday, I too want to put more effort into my children’s lives. Both fields are vastly complex and, not to sound dramatic, are life and death. The life of a Vet and father I believe are very similar, and I want to chase both with every fiber of my body
