About

Growing up I was always the person people would ask to help with anything related to technology, I would have to troubleshoot my grandparent's printers and their wi-fi all the time, which is how I came to enjoy wanting to help people. So when I was in 6th grade a friend of mine was messing around with programming on a website called khan academy, I, of course, thought that it was interesting and since I was big into videogames then, I decided to try and make my own games so other people could play them. Obviously, it did not go well at first, I would get an idea and realize I have no idea how to turn my code into that idea, but eventually, I kept pushing at it and using khan academy and other resources, even other games that I would mess with the code of to learn how they would do certain things, I got fairly decent at making simple games. Eventually, however, I would give up on the video game part of programming because I began to get into mathematics, so my code would be focused on math instead of gaming. In my junior year, I took a class that taught Java, which I got pretty good at thanks to that class. Then after I finished that class I moved to a different programming language called Python, which is when I started to really get into programming and started taking it seriously, and it was around this time that I worked with my Mother at her job, which was a company that would create websites for other companies, which means they were a programming company and I helped theirs for about a year. When I finished high school, I would look for a college that had a good Computer Science program, which is when I found CSU, being in Fort Collins was perfect for me and when I started my first semester I fell in love with the school and have enjoyed every second of the CS classes that I am taking, I have felt myself learn from them and would not be the same without them. As stated before, I hope to use my knowledge to help people, which I can do by creating software that serves some purpose that people can use, since I am interested in mathematics as well as programming, in a perfect world I would use both of those skills to create something that someone could use to improve their life. My parents never graduated from college but always pushed me to, and always what has held us back from that goal is the amount of money that college would cost.
