About

Right now, I'm working in several avenues simultaneously, but the position that makes me feel best is the TESL position. At the Language Education Institute, I'm nightly empowering students by increasing their vocational mobility and capacity to successfully engage in American culture and the workplace through English.

Improving life experiences is something I'm passionate about, and I've been constantly thinking about how my teaching could be applied to a wider audience, in different fashions, or in better ways. I'm not sure exactly which position would be best for me, but I know I want to help advance the world.

I've been thinking a lot about working in some capacity for the UN, the WHO, and the CDC, to name a few organizations. The common thread that binds these organizations is the vision for a better, safer life for all. Why can't there be utopia on earth?

Goals and interests

Graduate school interests

I have completed two years of coursework for an MA Applied Anthropology at CSULB. Here, I specialized in sociolinguistics and planned to investigate the evolution of the pronominal address system in French, in

Aix en Provence, France. I completed my thesis proposal, but due to financial troubles, I was not able to complete my proposed research.

If possible, I would be happy to return to school, enrolling in an MA to PhD program. When I left school, I had only one course left, along with my research. If I were to return, I'd want to focus on international development and would be happy to come back to school if I could pay for it.
