About
For more than 21 years helping people has been my world right next to being a mom. I have learned how to listen and advocate for their needs, remain compassionate during difficult times. I am currently working as a certified nursing assistant at UPMC, although I still love my job caring for patients and meeting new people, the physical demand of the profession is becoming difficult on my body. As I don’t want to walk away from my career in helping people, I would rather find a new path to follow. And find a new future for myself and my family, I want to show my kids to be strong and caring and not give up on things you love. And you are never too old to build your education. Making the decision to enroll in Walden University was a major step for me. After spending many years in the work force, returning to school required me to adjust to being a student and continuing to work and care for my family. I entered this journey determined to succeed, and my academic performance has strengthened my decision. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA through my last classes and got recognized for my permanence in my government class and received the Honor to join the Golden Key International Honor Society. As a mom I feel me going back to school and making these big accomplishments is showing my kids it's never too late and if you work hard, you will achieve great things.
