Honors and awards

I have received Honor Roll multiple years in a row, which reflects the pride and dedication I put into my education. As a multi-sport student-athlete, balancing academics and athletics has taught me discipline, time management, and perseverance. I take pr

Goals and interests

Career goal

Five years from now, I hope to have graduated from college and be beginning my career in physical therapy. As a student-athlete, I’ve learned how important proper care, recovery, and support are for the body, which is what inspired me to pursue this field. I want to be in a position where I can help athletes recover from injuries and also support people of all ages who are working to regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their everyday lives. Beyond my career, I hope to have opportunities to travel and give back to different communities. I want to use my knowledge and skills to help people not only locally but also in places around the world where access to physical therapy and rehabilitation support may be limited. My goal is to build a career that allows me to make a meaningful impact on others while continuing to grow personally and professionally.

Graduate school interests

What draws me to PT is the relationship you build with patients. A physical therapist sees a person twice a week for months. I want to be the person who coaches someone through the slow, hard parts of recovery, like someone learning to walk again or an athlete getting back on the field or court or whatever they pursue.

Outside the classroom

I am going to college to pursue my interest in Women´s Flag football. I love athletics and have always been driven to push myself to the absolute best. I also love painting, and coloring in my free time. During the summer I enjoy laying by the pool and listening to music as well.

Volunteering

  • I participated in a walk to support the fight against breast cancer after a family member of one of my teammates was diagnosed. As a team, we came together to raise $374.07 and walked alongside thousands of others supporting the cause. This experience impacted me because it showed how powerful a community can be when people come together for someone in need. It reminded me that even small actions, like raising money or showing support, can make a big difference in someone’s life.

  • I volunteered to help clean and organize a local CrossFit competition where many of my friends and family members participate. My responsibilities included cleaning up areas, moving weights and equipment, collecting papers, and helping organize materials for the event. This experience allowed me to spend quality time helping my community while working alongside others. It taught me that when a group works together toward a shared goal, large tasks can be accomplished efficiently.

  • High School Step-Up Day Mentor I helped incoming freshmen during my school’s Step-Up Day, an event designed to introduce new students to the high school experience. I guided a group of students, answered their questions, and made sure everyone stayed together throughout the day. This experience helped me become more social and responsible while supporting students who were nervous about starting high school. It felt rewarding to help them feel more comfortable and confident about their new environment.

  • I volunteered as a judge and helper at a Winter Classic gymnastics event where recreational gymnasts performed routines they had been practicing. Since I used to be a gymnast myself, this opportunity was very meaningful to me. I was able to watch younger gymnasts achieve their goals and enjoy the sport. This experience showed me how important it is to encourage others and give back to a community that once supported me.
