About

Earning my Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, 13 years after completing my master’s degree, is a significant and deeply meaningful milestone in my academic and professional journey.

My educational background began in Accounting, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree. However, my interest in healthcare has always been deeply rooted in me, particularly because I grew up with parents who worked in the medical field. Although the professional opportunities available to me in my home country did not fully align with my aspirations, I never lost my passion for healthcare.

After moving to the United States in 2018, I rekindled that passion and began building my career in healthcare, starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant and progressing to become an Advanced Certified Medication Aide. Through these experiences, I developed a deeper understanding of patient care and became increasingly interested in the systems, leadership, financial, and administrative structures that influence the delivery of quality healthcare.

Recognizing the importance of understanding healthcare from both clinical and administrative perspectives, I expanded my professional knowledge by becoming certified as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. This experience further strengthened my interest in the intersection of healthcare, administration, finance, and organizational leadership.

These experiences ultimately led me to pursue a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. Completing this journey represents more than earning another academic credential; it represents perseverance, purpose, reinvention, and the courage to pursue a path that had been within me for many years.

My journey from Accounting to direct patient care, healthcare administration, and ultimately doctoral achievement reflects my belief that it is never too late to realign your education, experience, and passion with your purpose. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my knowledge and experiences to contribute meaningfully to the healthcare profession and to promote better systems, stronger leadership, and improved outcomes for the people and communities we serve.
