About

My name is Azan Chaudhary, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Human Factors. I have a background in psychology and pre-health, which has helped shape my interest in understanding how people interact with complex systems, especially in healthcare. I’m passionate about using human-centered design and systems thinking to improve safety, performance, and well-being in environments where people and technology intersect.

As a student, I’m focused on learning how to apply ergonomic and cognitive principles to real-world challenges. My goal is to work on projects that make a meaningful impact, particularly in healthcare settings where patient outcomes and provider well-being are at stake. I value research, collaboration, and continuous growth, and I’m excited to be part of a community that recognizes academic and professional excellence.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I’m particularly motivated by the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, neuroscience, and human-centered design to create more effective and supportive solutions for both patients and providers.

Graduate school interests

As a graduate student in Human Factors, I’m especially interested in musculoskeletal and neurological health. I’m drawn to the ways human-centered design can support physical and cognitive recovery, enhance performance, and reduce injury in these domains. Whether it’s through improving rehabilitation environments, optimizing assistive technologies, or analyzing movement and posture in high-demand settings, I want to explore how ergonomics and systems thinking can contribute to better health outcomes.
