Aziya A Wilson

As of right now, I am currently a student at Ivy Tech Community College of Terre Haute, Indiana. I am attending classes in order to gain an Associate of Arts degree. I am taking classes in French, Spanish, American Sign Language, English, and other classes that I feel would help with those areas, such as Sociology and Psychology.

I took four years of French in high school and French Level I in college. I feel I am able to speak well enough in French to be able to make basic conversation, and to actually find my way around if I were ever in a French-speaking country. I am not fluent in it yet, and I read and write French better than I speak it. I am currently taking French Level II right now in college.

I just started Spanish recently, and I can make some very basic conversation. I am in Spanish Level II as of right now in college. I am also about to start American Sign Language this year. I do intend to learn more languages as I go further along, such as German and possibly Japanese.

After I graduate from Ivy Tech, I intend to major in American Sign Language Interpretation and Translation at IUPUI, along with either a minor or a possible double major in foreign languages. I hope to work as an interpreter and translator in the future, along with a possible career as a book author.
