About
My name is Baden Gage Curry, most of my friends, family, colleagues, and those I introduce myself to call me Gage. I am named after Robert Stephen Smyth Baden-Powell the founder of the world organization of Scouting. I love history with a passion, as a historian it is my duty to not only know about the past, but correctly interpret and communicate that knowledge to future generations.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan to go on and get my masters in history at WTAMU and then apply to a doctoral program somewhere else (anywhere that I can get in). I would like to get my PhD and teach at the collegiate level some day, I have currently completed my education certificate in the State of Texas so that I may get a job should the need arise.
- Graduate school interests
I have applied and been fully accepted to the Masters in History program at West Texas A&M University, I have applied for and registered for classes and plan on attending school in fall of 2022.
- Outside the classroom
I have a vested interest in experimental archaeology, that is why my friends and I have been working on (and with some success) casting bronze swords. More specifically we have successfully casted two bronze ewart park-style bronze swords, which were used during the mid to late Bronze Age, and were thought to have competed with the emerging early Iron Age swords.
I also enjoy Live Action Role Play (LARP), I am involved in several organizations with national to semi-national reach. I am a member in Amtgard International, the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA), and the Empire of Medieval Pursuits (EMP). I enjoy the camaraderie, high speed tag-like combat, and arts and sciences as well as leadership and service opportunities these organizations provide.
