About

Academic Summary, B. Isabella Perkins
To summarize my past and present high school academics, we must first examine the start to finish of my freshman and sophomore years. I attended both years at Eureka Jr. Sr. High School, participating in Scholar's Bowl, girl's golf, wild-science club, science fair, and honors club. My freshman year electives consisted of Spanish I, and Concert Band, where I played the flute. In my first year competing at a high-school level science fair, I was ranked as an honorable mention in my district, qualified for regionals, and sadly did not travel farther to state. I completed my first semester of high school on the high honor roll, with a GPA of 3.75, and later that year finishing my second semester with a GPA of 3.83, making my cumulative GPA of the year a 3.79.
My sophomore year was also attended at Eureka Jr. Sr. High School, participating in Varsity Scholar’s Bowl, attending regional girl’s golf, participating in the wild-science club, serving as class secretary, participating in Science Fair, and honors club. My electives consisted of Concert Band, Physical Conditioning, and Spanish II. I placed third in the district science fair, traveling on to regionals where I placed second in my category, and participated in state, placing third in my category. I concluded my first semester of sophomore year on the high honor roll with a 4.0 GPA and maintained that GPA throughout my second semester, making my cumulative GPA for the year a 4.0.
Finally, my junior year of high school was attended online at Greenbush Academy through the Eureka School District. I am currently participating in the SELF club, journalism club, and culinary arts club while maintaining four part-time jobs for college expenses. On Oct. 22, 2022, I took my first ACT, receiving a twenty-five for my composite score, an eighteen for my math score, a twenty-eight for my science score, a twenty-four for my english score, a thirty for my reading score, and an eight for my writing test. Currently, I have only completed the first semester of my junior year, finishing on the high honor roll while maintaining my 4.0 GPA. My overall academic GPA currently sits at 3.92 and concludes my present Academic Summary.

Goals and interests

Career goal

While it is difficult to determine ones exact future, the plan that I intend to put in motion would begin with enrollment into a fine school with a well-rounded journalism program. The two schools fitting this curricular best at the moment appear to be either George Mason University (Fairfax, VA), or George Washington University (Washington D.C), both in close proximity, and with connections to my ideal place of work, National Geographic Headquarters located in D.C.. Once in college, an internship, or job, within the facilities, should be aquirred, and continued throughout my studies and graduation.
