About
As a 23-year-old transfer student with an Associate’s Degree in Psychology, I have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout both high school and junior college, demonstrating consistent academic dedication. I’ve balanced full-time employment while being a full-time student, which has strengthened my work ethic, time management, and perseverance.
This fall, I will be transferring to Sonoma State University to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. My long-term goal is to become a licensed therapist and eventually open my own private practice, where I can provide compassionate, effective care and contribute meaningfully to the mental health field.
Beyond academics, I am passionate about service. I regularly volunteer at my local hospital and community farm—two environments where I support mental health resources and help cultivate healing spaces. These experiences fuel my drive to make mental wellness more accessible and community-centered.
My journey reflects the values of the National Honor Society: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. I am committed to continuing this path with integrity, purpose, and a heart for helping others.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
As a 23-year-old transfer student currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, my intended career path is centered on becoming a licensed clinical psychologist with a focus on community mental health. My academic journey and personal experiences have deepened my interest in understanding cognitive and emotional processes, particularly in under served populations.
After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a Master's and subsequently a Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology. My long-term professional goal is to work in community clinics, hospitals, or private practice, providing evidence-based therapeutic support to individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. In addition, I aspire to one day own and operate a private estate dedicated to a women’s healing center—an integrative space that supports both psychological and spiritual well-being. This center would offer a variety of healing modalities including women’s community social groups, group therapy, sound therapy, alternative medicine, private therapy, and bodywork therapy through massage and sound. My vision is to help bridge the gap between mind and body, offering a holistic approach to mental health and fostering healing in a supportive, empowering environment.
Being inducted into the National Honor Society would not only recognize my academic dedication but also support my commitment to leadership, ethical service, and professional excellence within the field of psychology.
- Graduate school interests
As a 23-year-old psychology major and dedicated transfer student, I am committed to pursuing graduate studies that align with my long-term vision of becoming a clinical doctor of psychology (Psy.D.). My plan is to apply to Psy.D. programs in California—such as those offered by Pepperdine University, Pacifica Graduate Institute, the Wright Institute, and Alliant International University—that emphasize community mental health, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive therapy. These programs will provide the clinical foundation necessary for licensure as a psychologist while allowing me to explore integrative healing practices. In addition, I am drawn to holistic institutions like the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and Pacifica for their emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection, which directly supports my future goal of creating a women’s healing center. This center will bridge clinical psychology with spiritual and somatic therapies, offering women a space to heal through group therapy, sound healing, bodywork, and community support. My graduate path is deeply rooted in service, innovation, and a desire to foster holistic healing for underserved populations.
- Outside the classroom
Outside of academics, I have a wide range of hobbies that keep me both mentally and physically engaged. I’m passionate about fitness and wellness—I swim weekly at my local gym and enjoy weight training as part of my routine. Since 2015, I’ve been involved in aerial performance arts and acrobatics, which have taught me discipline, creativity, and body awareness. In quieter moments, I love to crochet, and I’m an avid reader of both romance and science fiction novels. Photography is another creative outlet I deeply enjoy; I’ve won state awards for my work and especially love capturing wildlife and insects—bees, in particular, fascinate me. I also find peace and inspiration in nature through hiking, going to the beach, and collecting beautiful shells and rocks! These hobbies not only enrich my personal life but also reflect my appreciation for balance, beauty in nature, and self-expression through creative arts.
