About
Hello, my name is Benina Sholyn Cerno. I am an artist of life & creation. I am from the Village of Casa Blanca in the Pueblo of Laguna, New Mexico. My clans are big turkey (Tsina) & Little Sun (Ursaatra). I am 15/16 Laguna/Acoma/Yavapai Apache/Choctaw. I am currently a student at the University of Oklahoma Master of Legal Studies Program. This program focuses on the legal administration of oil & gas and contract processing. I have completed two semesters of the online program. I am entering the second year of this master's degree, and plan on completing this program in December of 2022. In the past, I have completed a certificate in 2013 for Vision Care Technology and an associate degree in Natural Resources Management in 2016 at the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute. In 2015, I achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Justice in the Indigenous and American Indian Studies Program from Haskell Indian Nations University. I look forward to finding a profession that will assist me in finding ways to improve our lives here on Earth.
