About

My name is Bohdan Hlavatskyi, and I am a mechanical engineering student, scolar, and inventor who workd diligently to make everyday life easier and more comfortable. As of summer 2026, I have completed 5 independent projects as a junior researcher and inventor at the UT San Antonio machine shop, where I was manufacturing metal parts, and at the makerspace, where I worked on software and electronics. Currently I am working on two more innovative unmanned aerial vehicle systems for land surveying in the niche of civil engineering. Here are brief descriptions of my completed inventions:
1) Safety Cap for Medicine Bottles and First Aid Kits
This system involves the use of the first phalanx of the index finger, which must be larger and more developed than that of young children
2) Hydraulic Stretcher Ambulance Platform for First Aid Transportation in Off-Road Conditions
This embedded hydraulic system can turn almost any vehicle into a high-speed ambulance or evacuation vehicle, capable of transporting injured people in severe off-road conditions with a high degree of comfort and safety.
3) Adjustable Belt Buckle for Police Officers
This invention allowes to quickly loosen the officers’ belt for exactly two inches on the go without readjustment for more comfortable driving
4) Instrumental Ring System for Repair Crew and Electrical Engineers
This universal ring has a multi-purpose ¼ inch socket to use different tools for welding, soldering, and fastening. Moreover, the ring has a generic shape that allows wearing it comfortably and clenching fingers with a welder’s or repair technician’s standardized glove
5) Transport Accident Prevention Alert – Smart Traffic Light
This traffic light technology not only issues commands but also monitors their execution and corrects for safety issues through the use of an algorithm. Traffic lights on city streets and military bases can be upgraded with CCTV cameras, image analyzers, and modified operation codes.
