About

Hi! Welcome all to this humble profile. My name is Brittany Olivas, I am a senior at Northern Arizona University where I am currently pursuing a major in History with a double minor in Anthropology and Sociology. I was that weird kid who would chose to stay inside to watch the History Channel (the good old days were they actually showed history). My focus in history is currently is Central and South American civilizations specifically the Mayan. Through my NAU career, I have studied in multiple civilizations such as Greek, Egyptian, Indus Valley, Peruvian cultures and Maya. I hope to take my degree and teach, unfortunately I have not decided what graduate school will better suited for me.
More personal, I am the second oldest out three girls and the second to graduate from a four-year university. I grew up in Peoria, Arizona however, I spent a good portion of my childhood in Phoenix between visiting and spending time with my grandparents and attending baseball games there was not a lot of time to spent in Peoria. Outside of academia, you will probably catch me either reading or career on the Arizona Diamondbacks or Arizona Coyotes. Yes, it has been hard the last few seasons to be a fan to these two organizations but I still believe! I have now come to the part of the summary where it feels awkward to continue writing about myself. So, I hope you have enjoyed this light-hearted summary.
Sincerely,
Brittany
