Brooke M. Warwick

My intended field of study is nursing. Within the next year, I plan to apply to Texas Woman's University in order to receive a BSN degree with them. After completing my BSN, I plan on working in an ICU, or critical care unit as a registered nurse for a few years. With this experience, I will then apply to a CRNA, (nurse anesthetist) program to complete higher level education. Recently, I finished 13 hours of pre-requisites at San Jacinto Community College for the fall semester of 2016. I was very successful and finished my year strong with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently a barrel racer who competes with Gulf Coast Barrel Racing Association which is a year-round association. This past year of 2016 I won the Youth 1D saddle. This past summer of 2016 I also won the senior all-around saddle with Galveston County Fair and Rodeo Summer Series, which is an association just for youth. I am currently employed with Bay Area Surgicare and work as a patient care tech. My job is to keep patients comfortable, remove IVs, and wheel patients to their vehicle after they have been discharged from the facility. I enjoy working with patients and interacting with individuals from a day to day basis. This job has further encouraged me to become a nurse. I was in the National Honor Society in Friendswood High School, keeping all A's over the years. Because of my hard work and success this past semester as a student at San Jacinto Community College, I have been accepted into a college level honor society. I plan on continuing to work hard to complete my education and accomplish my goal of becoming a nurse anesthetist.
