About

Hi, my name is Brooklyn and i am a freshmen at Nashua Community College. I just finished my first semester in which I took 2 classes part time. I also have a part time job at Calvin Klein where I work between 20-30 hours each week. It's the first job I'v ever had and what a good experience it has been so far! Not only have a learned a lot about working with people and customers, but it has also taught me good work ethic. I am very scrupulous about what I do, and like things done correctly. All in all, I'm working very hard at both and plan to keep pushing myself to acquire my associates degree. Now let me tell you a little about my self. Since I was a young girl I'v always pushed myself to the best of my abilities even when things were tough. I have a learning disability that impacts my working memory, making learning very difficult. I knew I couldn't let my learning disability interfere with my future accomplishments, so in high school I stayed countless hours doing additional work and making sure I got the extra help I needed to be successful. I also took an extra math class to further my mathematical skills. My senior year I had great grades, earning A's in all my classes and also received two scholarships. Although these accomplishments weren't easy for me, I knew I couldn't give up, and I knew I couldn't let my learning disability get in the way of my goals and my future! I was always told that college was going to be extremely difficult for me, and that I shouldn't further my education. Currently, I am working very hard at Nashua Community College, with two A's and couldn't be more excited to continue my educational journey!

Goals and interests

Career goal

At this point in time all I can say is that I'm working full time at Calvin Klein. From here I'm still figuring out what career path I want to take. That's why I'm working towards an associates in liberal arts. a degree that will help in any career choice

Graduate school interests

At the moment I am working towards my associates degree in liberal arts. Once accomplished, I'll have a better idea of where I want to start heading with my career choice.

Outside the classroom

Back in high school I loved cheer leading. Needles to say, since then I'v just been to busy between work and school. I have been going to the gym lately with my boyfriend and he's trying to get me into it like I was with cheer. Other then that I just hang with friends and relax with the little free time I have. On another note, I love pugs and the color pink! :)
