About
Education is a beautiful aspect of life in my eyes and one of the topics I am most enthusiastic about. Education has always helped me cope with stress, it has provided a colorful spectrum of critical thinking and motivation to prolong me to move forward in life, and it has also provided me with knowledge (that I could not have obtained without the amazing teaching of my educators) that I use on a daily basis. From the inspiration of my educators and schooling as a whole, I hope to earn my doctorate in psychology and English Literature. Currently, I am attending Monroe County Community College to finish my prerequisites. Afterwards, I will be transferring to Eastern Michigan University for my degree. I plan to pursue a career in teaching college level classes and enriching the minds of students in the subjects of psychology and English Literature. In the meantime, I also hope to minor in European History to help incorporate historical literature into my English Literature teachings. I plan on centering my career around the importance of education as well as my desired subjects that I wish to teach. To prepare for my future career in teaching, I have participated in tutoring English Literature for the Upward Bound program at Airport High School after hours for two days a week for about three months last year, and I plan to participate in the Upward Bound Summer Program as a tutor in English Literature as well as assisting with ACT preparation for the students. I also work as a crew trainer at McDonald's on Telegraph Road in Monroe, which involves constant teaching and patience with new workers ready to learn. I also plan on applying for a position of a Writing Fellow during the Fall semester to not only help prepare myself to teach others about the useful tools of interpreting and writing literature, but to help strengthen my own literary skills be learning in a great environment of educational enrichment. With the preparation and working skills I have developed, I hope to pursue a successful teaching career in the future.

Hobbies are an extremely important form of self expression and something that every individual possesses. My hobbies include reading, writing, and music. I absolutely love to read and analyze works of art that range from Shakespearean literature to current writing and expressing my literary findings.
Writing has always been an important form of my own self expression and something I am very passionate about. I write poetry, lyrics, and short stories in my spare time and it is something I absolutely love doing.
Music will always be the core of my daily activities. I enjoy singing and playing instruments such as the flute, the piccolo, and the acoustic guitar.
