Forensic Psychology

My love of Criminal Justice started in high school. As a young and enthusiastic student, I wanted to become a policewoman. At the time, my grades were good and I had a good outlook of what I wanted to do with my life. But then life happened, and after I graduated high school, I went on with my life, moving from here to there and didn't know what my path was. I got married to a man that I have known most of my life and loved, when I was 20 years old, we eventually had 4 children together, so I focused on being a good mother until they were all in school. I then started working at our local 911 service as a call taker and dispatcher. I was able to find this work very rewarding and ended up going to college for my EMT certificate. In addition to this, I also went to college to become a Medical Assistant, as I felt this would be a rewarding field as well. But my interest for the Criminal Justice field never went away. It wasn't until 3 years ago, when I had quit my job to care for my gravely ill husband who passed away on June 30th of last year, that I was able to start my career path in the field of my dreams. Helping those who need help, and being of some use to those who are wrongly convicted, is where my passion lies. The impact this college and it's professor's have had on my life is something I cherish. I hope to be the best Forensic Psychologist that I can.

I love spending time working on cases of wrongfully convicted people. My plan is to somehow incorporate this into my work presence.
