About
I received my Associate's Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Georgia in December of 2016, my Bachelor's Degree in Horticultural Science from the University of Georgia in December of 2018, and will be graduating this December of 2021 with a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics from Louisiana State University Shreveport. Next year I will be returning to school to work towards a Master's Degree and then a PhD in Plant Sciences to focus on Horticulture.

For the last several years, I have gone through school with the intention of combining my passion for Horticulture and my business mindset with a plan to open my own Horticultural businesses. These businesses include a Christmas tree farm/conifer nursery, a greenhouse/garden center specializing in native plants and shade plants, and a horticultural business consulting company. My business mindset has always caused me to think of ways to improve businesses in every way possible. This has been my plan for several years; however, I have recently realized that I can make a difference by helping to advance our knowledge and understanding in the Horticulture industry as a whole by becoming a researcher, professor, and extension specialist in Horticultural Science. This would allow me to spread my knowledge and passion for horticulture with students and horticultural business owners. Cutting edge research will help horticultural business owners improve their production methods, reduce growing times, improve plant quality, cut costs, and improve their businesses overall in both the short-term and the long-term.

I am interested in researching sustainable horticultural production methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This research will allow horticultural business owners to improve their production methods, reduce growing times, improve plant quality, cut costs, and improve their businesses overall in both the short-term and the long-term. My goal is to help advance our knowledge and understanding in the horticultural industry for the benefit of students, researchers, business owners, and customers.
