Carrie Canchola

I started my first nursing program in August 2001, after serving 4 years in the United States Marine Corp. I obtained my certificate as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 2002. I began working and gaining experience immediately, mostly on the Medical-Surgical units of the hospital. Finally, in 2012, I entered into a transition program to obtain my Associates Degree in Nursing, all the while working full-time. I graduated in 2013 and quickly transitioned into a role of charge nurse. In 2015, I left bedside nursing and joined our Nursing Informatics team as a Physician Liaison, a position I hold at present. My duties include supporting the providers with navigation, order entry, and documentation of the electronic health record.
