Chelsea Huntsman

My name is Chelsea Huntsman. I am 19 years old and currently a sophomore at WKU. I graduated high school from Greenwood High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2013. I am currently employed by Kohl's Department Store, Boys and Girls Club of America, and the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Working three jobs is challenging while also being a full-time student, but I've learned to manage my time very well in order to make everything work. I've always been taught that you must work for the things you want, so that's what I do. I have two loving parents and a brother who is my biggest fan no matter what I'm doing. He is five years older than me so he has played many different roles throughout my lifetime. My major in school is psychology because I have a strong interest in the study of the brain as well as the behavior patterns of people. My minor is child studies because I have always had a passion for children. I have two younger cousins that mean the world to me and they're a really big reason why I'm so interested in children. I feel drawn to kids for some reason and I want to work with them as long as I can. I'm excited to see where the next three years of undergraduate school take me and even more excited to see where graduate school will take me. I hope to move away for graduate school and see a different part of the world, but I still have plenty of time to figure that out. I'm blessed with too many gifts in my life and I am so honored to be apart of this society. I thank God daily for the many blessings in my life.
