About
Rural Wisconsin is an exceptionally beautiful place to grow up in and the community that I grew up in was very supportive. My family has lived and worked on the family dairy farm for three generations in Lone Rock, Wisconsin. The dedication that my parents and older brothers display on a daily basis through their work ethic has taught me many valuable skills. I also gained many inspiring opportunities through agriculture, predominantly through FFA at River Valley High School. But as I continued to grow as an individual I found that my true passion lay in helping others, especially those less fortunate than myself. I have always thought of others before myself simply as a life principle. I became very involved with my community such as volunteering at the nursing home, running clothing drives, and helping food drives all through FFA and 4-H. I learned early on that my education was important to me and I strove to do my absolute best. My education, FFA, and other organizations had allowed me to broaden my horizons in both my professional and personal life. I have found many friends and professional associates through agriculture and while I will not be pursuing an agricultural career I would not change my agricultural background for anything. Agriculture taught me dedication, work ethic, responsibility, compassion, and patience; all things that I will use in my future endeavors. My future plan is to pursue a health career so that I can positively impact the lives of others. I would truly enjoy working in a rural community where I could help those in need.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My career path has always been based upon helping others. I found a desire to work in the health field at a young age as I knew many people needed medical assistance. I plan to become an Occupational Therapist to help those that need assistance in improving or gaining function to better their lives. My overall career goal is to obtain my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Stout, gain a masters degree, then pursue a job as an Occupational Therapist in a rural area where there is a definite need.
- Graduate school interests
I plan to attend graduate school to gain a masters degree in Occupational Therapy. I would enjoy to attend a school that has an exceptional patient related program so that I could gain more patient care experience. While location isn't an important factor I would like a school that has connections to impoverished areas so that I may help those in need.
- Outside the classroom
When I am not involved with different organizations or working I enjoy peaceful activities such as reading, walking, watching movies, playing board games, baking, and knitting. Most of these activities also have connections to my family as watching movies and board games allow me to interact with my family, while on the other hand knitting and baking were taught to me by my grandparents and great-grandparents. My hobbies have allowed me to be an individual, as reading and walking allow me time with myself, but also allowed me to connect with my family, as baking and knitting have through time with my family members. I enjoy my hobbies because I find they make me a more well rounded individual.
