About
I am an undergrad student majoring in Astronomy and Astrophysics. As a female minority, and as a member of the African-American, and Pacific-Asian American communities, I am proud to have made a decision to contribute to the STEM field. I am passionate about the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and in the future I would like to study exoplanets and their capability to sustain astrobiology, in addition to engineering space crafts that would navigate outer space.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Primarily I aspire to be an Astrophysicist, studying the unknown universe and its phenomena, particularly exoplanets and their potential for astrobiology. I would like to conduct research with NASA and other space organizations and associations. Aerospace Engineering is another passion of mine, and secondarily I would like to engineer space crafts for astronomical organizations. I have multiple interests within my field of study, and I do see my contribution to the field of astronomy being multifaceted. I would also like to participate in astronomy journalism, and inspire young girls and minorities to learn about astronomy and astrophysics as well as become more active in our communities.
- Graduate school interests
In Grad School I would like to participate in competitions engineering space crafts with potential to navigate into outer space, and do research revolving around exoplanets and astrobiology. I would also like to participate in research involving other branches of astronomy, including observing galaxies, stars, and black holes.
- Outside the classroom
When I am not studying or working on my internship, I like collecting rocks and minerals, reading, actively listening to and consoling my friends when they need me, and taking time and space to myself to be creative. This could come in the form of writing poetry or making collages -- neither of which I invest too much energy into. I mostly use occasional activities like these as ways to relieve stress and generate expression. Non-fiction books are a favorite of mine, and I like learning fun facts that are not general knowledge. I also enjoy reading aesthetically pleasing astronomical publications, as astrophotography is one of the most magical forms of art there is to me. I love getting outdoors and exploring nature, another activity I use to relax and destress.
