About
I started my academic career at UT Tyler fall of 2011. I've been pursuing my BS in Mathematics since then and will be graduating in May of 2015. I decided to minor in English in order to have a broader experience through a STEM major and a humanities minor - and also to hone in my writing style to one which best suits my needs.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I'm strongly considering teaching high school mathematics with the intent to work on my masters to possibly become a college professor. Depending on what opportunities present themselves, however, I'm very open to pursuing other career paths.
- Graduate school interests
Considering returning later to pursue my masters.
- Outside the classroom
Shortly after graduating high school, I took a strong interest in chess. I started a chess club at Kilgore College and continued playing while at UT Tyler for my first two semesters. While I did (and still do) love the game, I lost interest in playing it very frequently but still enjoy a game every now and again.
I've also taken up billiards (pool) in the later semesters at UT Tyler. I still play on a regular basis with the 'unofficial' pool club at UT Tyler.
