About
I am a 21 year old student at Kansas State University. I pursue a double major in Communication, Sciences and Disorders & Psychology. I am from Asuncion, Paraguay and after graduating from a bilingual high school in 2010 I came to the States for my college degree. In fall of 2012 I did a study abroad program for Psychology in University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, England. I got the opportunity to relish and live a different culture and found myself fascinated by it. After that I decided to stay home in Paraguay for a semester online. Upon my return to K-State I continued my focus on my studies and degrees, but also living college experience as much as I can, meeting new people and learning more and more about life. I am grateful for the support of my parents and family that encourage me to go on whenever it seems to feel hard to do so.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to work with patients across all age span, but more specifically with infants and toddlers that are in need for Speech Therapists. I would want to get as much experience as I can working in different areas such as hospitals and clinics as well as school districts. But my ultimate job path is returning to Paraguay and open a clinic with colleagues that will be available to everybody as there is a great need of the profession but there is a scarcity in professionals regarding that area.
- Graduate school interests
I intend on applying to different bilingual graduate programs for next year. Hopefully I would get in to a good program in the hopes of getting the education and experience that will allow me to execute my knowledge for patients of English and Spanish speaking clients. Sometime in the future I would like to continue my Psychology degree into Neuropsychology.
- Outside the classroom
On my spare time I engage in pleasure reading, particularly novels who's genre ranges from fantasy and paranormal to adventure to romance. Since I may get way into the novel I usually read more during summer vacations (about 5-10 books). I also enjoy drawing, most specifically black and white sketches of animals and very few portraits. Spending time with family and friends is of great importance to me so activities involving movies, dinners and board games are also part of my interests. With my sister we engage in a lot of movie marathons including Disney Classics to Harry Potter saga. Whenever we find the time and opportunity we travel to new places and find new adventures and looking forward to our next destination point.
