About

The University of Alaska System has brought a lot of educational and social opportunities my way. I have attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks for one semester in Fall 2014 and then transferred to where I am today at the University of Alaska Anchorage Campus to pursue my declared major in Medical Laboratory Science.
I have always had a passion for how things work and always cared deeply for the environment. I've decided to declare a major in the Medical field, because I know I will be able to grow as an employee as the industry advances, appreciate how things work at a microscopic level and at the same time, help people in the surrounding community with diagnostics.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Right now, my in progress Bachelor of Science degree is my top priority but after I graduate I hope to spend a couple years at a local Hospital here in the Anchorage area to gain experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Once I work hands-on in my field of interest I plan on researching and moving into pursuing a Masters Degree.

Outside the classroom

Alaska has many outdoor opportunities to offer and after living here for almost 6 years I have taken advantages of most things that this beautiful state has to offer. I enjoy kayaking on many lakes and rivers, along with camping, ATV riding, hiking and biking. This state has a huge affect on me and I believe that is why I am so passionate about the environment. I enjoy getting outside and staying active while I'm not in school or working. I also enjoy traveling as I am now getting of age for more traveling opportunities. I feel that it is very important to explore and see how other people live as well as what other parts of the United States are like. Although I've recently started traveling inside the United States I eventually hope to travel outside of the United States for my own curiosity or one day study abroad.
