About
I am enrolled in the Associates of Science in Nursing program at Keiser University in Orlando, FL. I currently work at the hospital as a Patient Care Technician with fifteen years of patient care experience in a medical setting. While growing up, I faced many health challenges. I also saw many of my family members suffer from various medical conditions. I saw first hand how our health can affect our lives everyday. This made me more aware of the value of our healthcare providers for the role they have in our lives. I discovered my passion for nursing through my personal experiences and relationships with my providers. They fascinated me, and inspired me to further my education so that I could also help people feel their best. Since then I have become a skilled healthcare advocate and a valuable member of my professional team.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After completing my associates degree, I plan on continuing on to earn my bachelors degree while working as a RN learning and progressing my skills at the hospital.
- Graduate school interests
In the long run, I want to work towards getting a masters degree in nursing while moving up into nursing management at the hospital. My ultimate dream is to manage my own not for profit healthcare organization that help uninsured or under-insured patients receive the treatment they need that could ultimately save their lives.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy volunteering to help at local organizations in the community. I volunteer in long term nursing facilities, hospitals, and at my home church. I find it to be a rewarding experience when I see the smiles on everyone's faces after being able to make their day better. I also enjoy spending time with family and creating great memories.
