About
I, DALSTON HARRISON, a college student at Post University, am not only very ambitious and creative but have also performed academically and holistically at a superior rate. I am also a sophomore student. My current academic program is a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and my achievements are as follows. Academically, I have had a GPA of 3.74 or higher since I started college in June 2023, and the end of this month will officially be my first anniversary since I started college. I have also become an official Eagles member at Post University, and I have another academic achievement recently in March this year that I received four months ago. In addition, I am on the Provost Dean's List at Post University at this time.
In my career field of Security, I have seven years on my 2nd job with Best Security in which I am the longest-tenured Security Officer with the company, and I received an award in April 2024 for outstanding work on duty that day at Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York. I also received the Best Crowd Management Award Dedication in January 2024. Furthermore, I have over five years at my current full-time job that I HAVE HELD SINCE APRIL 1, 2019, WITH wATCHgUARD 24/7 LLCSecurity in which I am site Security Supervisor for New Line Structures on Kent Street in Brooklyn, New York. I have other achievements. I received my EIN registration on June 7, 2023, for my Security Company called TOP LINE SECURITY PROTECTION SERVICES LLC. In addition, I have a Better Business Bureau Accreditation since July 2023, and my business is in good standing. I also have my Certificate of Membership, and the business referenced above is certified by Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc. Another great accomplishment I also achieved this year on April 15, 2024, was my 1st Security Services Contract with Rosie's Restaurant in Manhattan on the East Side, which opens seven days a week. I have been their head of Security since April 5, 2024. I am being considered for the 2024 Who's Who in America Edition. I was selected based on my professional merit and work experience from researched executive and professional listings. With my overall qualifications, I believe I am the perfect biographical subject. My inclusion in their publication is an honor and an endorsement of my company and my hard work.
The relevance of my current studies, Criminal Justice, to my life and my goals are pretty significant because at my 2nd job with Best Security at Barclay's Center, where I am the longest tenured officer, we specialize in Special Events for all events which include: concerts, NBA/ WNBA BASKETBALL GAMES, COMEDY SHOWS, BOXING EVENTS, WRESTLING EVENTS, AND BOOK SIGNINGS IN WHICH MY COMPANY WORK SECURITY FOR ALL EVENTS THERE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER FROM NYPD always on hand. The concerts and various games carry much more security staff and NYPD Law Enforcement on deck at these referenced events. I've been there in that capacity for seven years now, and I know almost all Police Officers employed there with us. That gives me a significant advantage in being familiar with them and also with them knowing what I do there is the Lead Officer for Best Security. My over twenty years of experience in the security field also play a significant role because it helps me get through daily challenges. I also have excellent communication and negotiation skills and work well and get along with everyone around me. We also do Crowd Control and check-in guests entering Barclay's Center and escort them to their seats, assist in guest services, and direct the guests to the bathroom and the merchandise store to purchase merchandise for their family, friends, and loved ones. I am also very familiar with Barclay's Center managers and security supervisors, and we work hand in hand at all special events held there during the week and on the weekends. In addition, my overall security experience benefits me in dealing with conflicts and other issues with angry customers. I can deflate or bring down customer tensions by de-escalating matters when they are at a ten without the manager's assistance solely because of my experience and security training. As a result of my many years of experience in the security field, I can deal with crowd control, guest questions, and issues. I can also communicate well with them and my co-workers to get the guests in smoothly while welcoming them to Barclay's Center so that they can enjoy the night's festivities without any delays or hesitation.
In conclusion, my transition with my current studies in Criminal Justice is going very well, and I am currently four weeks into my 8th semester at this time at Post University. I will be graduating as scheduled in May 2026. I also have more knowledge and emphasis on vital information necessary in criminal justice and criminal law as I utilize them daily and apply them in my work field at both jobs, especially when working with law enforcement at Barclay's Center for all of the many different unique events held there weekly when I work there. The experience with the diversity of many different kinds of people from various backgrounds and ethnicities has been great, and I love it. It also presents a different challenge to me when I work daily, but at the same time, it keeps me sharp, focused, motivated, and always on point!
