About
I am currently studying veterinary medicine at Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Fort Collins, Colorado. I received my bachelor's degree in animal sciences and veterinary sciences from the University of Wyoming in 2019. I am currently studying to becoming a mixed animal practitioner. Recently, my interests have changed my plans to eventually seek a residency so that I may specialize in neurology. I plan to practice in a rural region and travel for neurology related consultations. I grew up in Wakefield, Kansas, where I spent most of my time at my grandparent's farm. My family and I moved to Wyoming in 2005, where I attended high school and college. Working with horses has been one of my passions through-out life. I participated in 4-H and FFA, showing swine and dogs and competing in photography, cake decorating and marksmanship. I was a member of the Cowgirl Up Rodeo Drill Team for 4 years. I developed a love for animals at a very young age, however, a snowboarding accident that occurred when I was 13 years old was what sparked my interest in medicine. I spent several hours in clinics through-out high school and eventually decided that veterinary medicine was my calling. I participated in the pre-vet clubs at Cody High School and the University of Wyoming and plan to participate in more clubs at Colorado State University once they are available. I strive to help animals and the community as well as contribute to one's health educational formats for the public.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am currently studying to be a mixed animal practitioner. I plan to apply for a residency after completing my studies so that I may specialize in neurology. As a mixed animal practitioner I would be working with small and large animals. As a neurologist, I would be traveling for consultations unless a more permanent position presented itself.
- Outside the classroom
I like to consider myself a person who is up for just about anything, however, my main hobby is riding horses. Whenever I get the chance I like to hike, paint, paddle board or kayak, and practice my marksmanship. I spend most of my time with my dog, who is named Holly, going on walks or just spending time in the back yard.
