About
I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in education with the goal of becoming a certified special education teacher— a dream I’ve had since childhood. My academic journey has been one of determination, balance, and resilience. After putting my education on hold to raise my daughter, I returned to college once she became more independent. I earned my associate degree in 2022 and immediately continued my education full-time, all while working two jobs and raising my daughter as a single mother.
For the past seven years, I have proudly served as a paraprofessional with Tomball ISD, where I have been honored as Paraprofessional of the Year for the last three consecutive years. This recognition reflects not only my dedication to my students, but also the pride I take in maintaining professionalism and integrity in all that I do.
Being accepted into your honor society would be a meaningful acknowledgment of my academic efforts and personal commitment. I am deeply honored to be considered and, if selected, I will continue to uphold the values of excellence, professionalism, and pride that I carry with me every day.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Working with individuals with special needs has been a central part of my life for the past 26 years—in my church, my community, and now through my academic journey. From as early as five years old, I knew I wanted to become a special education teacher. That dream has guided me throughout my life, and every achievement I’ve earned has brought me one step closer to making it a reality.
Earning my associate degree and continuing my education while balancing the responsibilities of being a full-time student, a single mother, and holding two jobs has shown me the strength of my determination. Being named Paraprofessional of the Year for three consecutive years reflects my commitment to the students I serve and my passion for supporting and uplifting them.
My life goal is not only to become a certified special education teacher, but to be someone my students can truly look up to—someone who loves them, supports them, and inspires them. Every milestone I’ve reached has reinforced my purpose, and I am more motivated than ever to fulfill the calling I’ve carried in my heart since childhood.
- Graduate school interests
Looking ahead, I have a strong desire to pursue graduate school to become a licensed social worker. My passion for working with children—especially those with special needs—has shown me how vital it is for students to have someone they can trust, confide in, and lean on during difficult times.
As a future social worker, I want to be more than just a professional resource—I want to be a safe, supportive presence in students’ lives. My goal is to provide not only guidance and advocacy, but also a judgment-free space where students feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that with the right support, every child has the potential to succeed, and I want to be the person who helps them believe in themselves even when life feels overwhelming.
Pursuing a graduate degree will equip me with the tools and knowledge I need to fulfill this calling and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of the students and families I serve.- Outside the classroom
My hobbies include traveling with my friends, spending time with my family, horseback riding, watching movies, baking, and cooking.

In addition to my work in education, I am also active in my community. I volunteer with The Salvation Army, where I help serve Thanksgiving dinner to those in need. This experience has further strengthened my desire to serve others and be a source of hope and support during challenging times.
