About

I am currently going to school at the University of Texas for a graduate degree in fluvial geomorphology. I will be doing a flume experiment which will give insight into how to better preserve fish habitats in rivers. Hopefully, my research will contribute to saving more fish! After I graduated, I worked with a petroleum geologist in Corpus Christi where I learned about the oil and gas industry. I would like to continue in the oil and gas sector after I graduate. During my undergraduate career I took out school loans and am currently in deferment. I am getting worried about not being able to find a job in the oil and gas sector after I graduate and not be able to pay my school loans back. This scholarship would help me not borrow as much next semester and I will not worry as much about taking more loans.
