Dear Human Resources,

My name is David Elisha Hoffman. I am currently completing my final semester at the University of Arizona in pursuit of a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Retailing and Consumer Sciences. I have an Associate of Arts degree in Retailing and Consumer Sciences from Pima Community College. My experience in retail is based on what I have studied at the University of Arizona and through hands on experience in the field.
My education includes many classes that pertain to retail including Managerial Accounting, Business and Professional Communications, Retailing, and Principles of Marketing. Through these courses I have learned investment strategies as well as strategies for running a business smoothly and efficiently. I have used these strategies in school projects which required team coordination and meeting deadlines for class assignments.
I have experience as an owner and operator of a small fashion design business which designed and produced fashion accessories. As the sole proprietor of the business I operated all functions of the business from design of the products to the manufacture, selling, and promotional events for the company. This included setting up a website complete with product sales, shipping, and payment ability. These accessories were also featured in a runway show in Tucson. All of this was done while attending Pima Community College as a full time student.
I also acted as president of the Fashion Force Club at Pima Community College during which time our organization attended the MAGIC trade show. Attending this show required me to set up and coordinate fundraising events for the organization. These events helped pay for all of the members of Fashion Force to attend the MAGIC Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
