About
I’m Davina Allen, a single mother, SEL paraprofessional, and future elementary school teacher with a deep passion for helping children feel seen, supported, and capable of success. Growing up in foster care and attending seventeen different schools shaped my resilience and taught me the importance of having stable, caring adults in a child’s life. Those experiences pushed me to return to school later in life so I can become that supportive presence for the next generation.
Before entering education, I spent many years working as a waitress, where I learned patience, communication, and the value of hard work. Today, in my role as an SEL paraprofessional, I assist students in building emotional regulation skills, navigating challenges, and developing confidence in themselves; work that feels deeply connected to my own journey.
My greatest joy is being an amazing single mom to my talented teenage daughter, who inspires me daily to push forward and model perseverance, growth, and grace. I am committed to building a future rooted in compassion, education, and service to my community, and I am honored to be advancing on this path.
