About
First, foremost I am a child of God, a daughter, sister, mother, nana, and a fighter. My name is Delronica N. Moore currently in my second year at Palm Beach State College, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, studying Paralegal and legal studies. Graduating Spring of 2022. Born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, I moved to West Palm Beach 24 years ago alone with my two children in hopes of better opportunities. I took on various administrative jobs to make ends with little time to go back to school. My dream job has always been to be an attorney; however, with two kids, bills, and trying to be a good mom did not allow a lot of time to focus on a career more of having a job to maintain. I have obtained many skills from previous employment that were not my calling. Knowledge of extensive skills, experience, and repetitiveness only go so far, but education will take you further. At this point in life, my kids have moved away from home. I can focus on myself. I left my job to start school in the field where I have a passion that is Law. On May 15, 2019, I started school so excited. Unfortunately, a decline in health caused me to go into the hospital before day two of class. I had to withdraw from a couple of classes. I still tried completing the other two. The setback was not good but opened an outlet for me to go to school full time. I have always been intrigued with Criminal Law and Civil Rights issues. What is justice or does justice exist. College has opened a door for me to research previous and current issues burdening society today, and I feel truly blessed. The decline in my health was more of a stop and redo moment, which allowed me a second chance to find my true purpose in life. Since my release from the hospital, I have been focusing on school. I have received three nominations for Academic Honor Societies, and during the fall 2021 semester, I made the Dean’s List. As of December 2021, I have proven I am a fighter capable of academic excellence.
