About
My name is Derek Johnson and I'm a junior at Texas A&M University- Commerce. My current major is Kinesiology and Sports Studies. I plan on becoming a football coach after graduation. I received my Associates Degree of Science from Paris Junior College. These past few years I have dedicated myself to academics and to finishing my degree. I once took my education for granting and I won't make that mistake again. I've watched other people around me fail at life and I refuse to do the same. Smart people learn from their own mistakes, wise people learn from the mistakes of others.

- Outside the classroom
My biggest hobbie is playing video games. I enjoy almost all sports games and I hate losing at them. Video games provide a temporary distraction from the pressures of daily life. I also enjoy exercising and reading books. I read over 10 books last summer and I plan of reading much more in the future.
